Since we arrived on april a "social activity" was scheduled after the "first thesis meeting". Of course the beginning of the thesis meeting didn't take place in a restaurant, but I guess that I was not the only one who thought that the pancake session after the official meeting would be the highlight of the day.
Staff from the program and 8 of my classmates gathered in front of huge Dutch pancakes that could have salmon, raisins, ham, mandarine, bacon, banana, nutella, or whatever you imagine. For sure this wouldn't happen in Bologna (and then people accuse Dutch people of being cold!).
